Corey Kenney
Office of Kansas Attorney GeneralCorey graduated from the University of Kansas - School of Law where he received the Fisher-Patterson-Sayler-Smith Trial Practice Award for trial advocacy. Corey worked as an intern in the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office prosecuting juvenile offenders during his final year of law school. After graduation, Corey worked for a short time in private practice before returning to prosecution with the Miami County Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted Juvenile Offender, Child in Need of Care, Child and Sex Abuse cases. Corey left Miami County to serve as the Lenexa City Prosecutor, a position he held for eight years prosecuting a wide variety of municipal cases ranging from simple infractions to serious DUI and Drug cases.
