With over 15 years of experience in civil litigation, conflicts of interest, and professional responsibility, I currently hold the position of Assistant General Counsel at the firm. My responsibilities include advising our attorneys on ethics compliance, risk prevention, and conflicts of interest. I also play a crucial role in reviewing and negotiating outside counsel guidelines, conflict waivers, engagement letters, and other documents with ethical implications. Additionally, I contribute to providing ethical training and education to both attorneys and staff within the firm.
I also serve as an Adjunct Professor at the IU Robert H. McKinney School, where I teach Professional Responsibility. Previously, I was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Business Law and Ethics at the Kelley School of Business. I am deeply committed to promoting ethical awareness, integrity, and professionalism in both the legal and business sectors, and I strive to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in these areas.
I frequently present and write on the subject of ethics and professionalism in the legal field. I regularly contribute to the Res Gestae, particularly on the Ethics Curbstone column, and have been quoted in various publications for my views on ethical matters. Additionally, I am an enthusiastic speaker, having delivered over 200 seminars on ethics and professionalism across local and national venues. My primary research focus is on the ethics of AI and its impact on the legal and business communities.
