Carder Wright Brooks
Patent Attorney at Whitaker Chalk Swindle & Schwartz PLLCMy practice focuses primarily on intellectual property law, specializing in life science technologies and startups. Before joining Whitaker Chalk, I cofounded and was General Counsel of a biotechnology company, GAP Peptides LLC, that commercializes a novel peptide synthesis method to provide peptides for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. My duties included building and managing the company’s growing IP portfolio and advising the company on all legal affairs, including contracts, operations, licensing, and governance. While my primary role at the company was General Counsel, I also actively managed company affairs and conducted peptide synthesis research in the company’s state-of-the-art laboratory.
