I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Legal Communications at Howard University, completed my J.D. at Charlotte School of Law, and was awarded a Master of Laws from American University Washington College of Law. During law school, I served as an intern to the Honorable Noelle C. Collins in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. I also worked as a legal intern at the Office of Legislative Counsel for the State of California, and as a summer associate in the general counsel’s office at The Fresh Market, a North Carolina based specialty grocery chain. I also served as Chief Justice of the school’s Moot Court Honor Board, as Editor-in-Chief of the Intellectual Property Journal, and as an editor for the Law Review. While earning my Master of Laws, I worked at the Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic, assisting taxpayers and families in resolving income tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service.
Before beginning my legal career, I served as an intern in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence, and taught middle school mathematics and science in Atlanta, Georgia.
