- Brian earned his Bachelors degree in biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University where his undergraduate research focused on the interaction between DNA and basal transcriptional machinery.He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from the University of Michigan where his thesis research focused on the regulation of gene expression during adrenocortical development.Brian conducted his post-doctoral research in Cambridge, England, wherehe studied molecular signaling during skeletal muscle repair. He has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research in multiple international forums.
