Benjamin P. Long
Hupy and Abraham, S.C.Attorney Benjamin P. Long graduated with degrees in politics and legal studies from Loras College in 2006. He received his law degree in 2009 from the University of Iowa, where he won multiple trial skills awards, including best litigator, in the Judge Roy L. Stephenson Trial Advocacy Competition. He joined Hupy and Abraham in 2013. Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Long practiced for four years with an Iowa firm in the areas of civil litigation and insurance defense. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and is licensed to practice in the state courts of Iowa as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa. Attorney Long has experience handling a wide variety of injury cases including those caused by automobile or semi-truck accidents, defective products or materials, slip or trip and fall accidents and over-service of alcoholic beverages. He understands that injured Iowans may have little experience with the legal system and need a dedicated advocate against insurance companies who handle thousands of claims per year. A lifelong resident of Iowa, Attorney Long supports youth sports and youth civic education, volunteering his time to coach youth baseball and to participate as a coach and judge in Iowa’s Middle School and High School Mock Trial programs.
