About William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law
Thomas Jefferson helped found William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law nearly 230 years ago. Students can participate in one or more of the 54 student organizations on campus. All students are required to enroll in the three-semester Legal Practice Program, where small classes will work with a designated member of the Legal Writing Faculty, a practicing attorney, a teaching assistant, and law librarians to develop their understanding of the practice of law.
