Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law is one of the oldest law schools in the country, and it was the first law school in Georgia to be accredited by the ABA. The school's curriculum is focused on small classes and a skills-oriented approach to education. The ABA awarded the school the Gambrell Professionalism Award for "depth and excellence of the Woodruff Curriculum and its commitment to professionalism."
