Jeff was born and raised in Garland, TX and has been around the world twenty times without losing his Texas roots. At age 22, he joined the Army and was stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA where he served as a combat medic in the 3rd Infantry Division. Later, he obtained his first law degree from the University of South Africa and bought a house with his beautiful wife Nicole. Today, he lives on Mercer Island with his family. He is fanatical about the game of chess and loves Shakespeare, the Simpsons, and Linux.

I have been practicing law since 1996, primarily representing homeowners and commercial building owners with construction defect claims, property insurance claims, and other real estate-related claims. I also serve as local and national counsel for a variety of companies that supply construction materials or services.

In 2015, after a three-year legal battle, I settled the largest mass action lawsuit in Washington history on behalf of the owners of nearly 1,000 homes.

Our firm also practices general litigation, and for our construction supplier clients we handle preliminary notices, liens, and collections.

My practice is focused is focused on resolving debt issues, protecting assets, and litigation regarding the same for individuals and small to mid size businesses. Prior to founding Washington Debt Law, PLLC, I worked at one of the largest creditor side law firms, representing financial institutions in bankruptcy, eviction, foreclosure, and litigation matters. Having both creditor and debtor side experience brings a nuanced approach in dealing with creditors as I am familiar with their tactics, budgets, resources, and how best to find an effective approach.
