Want honest and fair representation? Stay away! Patrick Woolley sounded nice at the first conversation. Then after discussing the case he sounded even better. This is not the same person that appeared at court or in any instance for the nearly 1 year it took to file and address something as simple as a License Reinstatement service. After months since hiring(June), not only did he "forget" to ask me for an extra payment to start the proceedings for an entire month after our last communication(September)(3 months after me paying him in full). He didn't even respond to my phone calls or emails for the same time period, when I asked what was happening. Once he received the additional payment(October) he didn't even file it for nearly 30 days after the fact. After this, he ignored my emails and phone calls again and took an additional 2 or so months to follow up telling me that court was to blame. When I thought something wasn't right I asked for proof of filing the motion by way of receipt request. To this date (06/08/23) I have yet to receive that receipt. As per the states website it appears he waited until the end of October to submit the first filing(this process began in June/July). We finally got a court date, but when that date came he was late by atleast 30 min. Imagine being the only party in a court room by yourself waiting for your lawyer to arrive and the judge taking a recess because YOU had the time to show up, but your lawyer didn't. Then everything he promised he would ask for, meaning immediate restricted or full restoration, he didn't, at every single court hearing. After another court appearance he came unprepared and blamed me, for not sending him something the ASAP program should have, and he said "I hope the judge got the ASAP evaluation since I didn't or we will have to come back in one month". As if he couldn't realize he was missing important information about the case prior to the court date. After that court date, Patrick stated he would file the paperwork the same day but was ignorant to the fact that he needed to do anything else. It took nearly another 40 something days to file the next part because, and I quote "I thought you already got your restricted license and have been driving around, but it appears that I need to file another handwritten request." Following the final court appearance he neglected to mention he didn't know that he had to file more paperwork with the courts to complete the application and he ignored my emails and phone calls asking for updates. 26 days later, I said I was considering filing a complaint with the VA state bar. The same day, he responded, apologizing and stating he didn't file the paperwork that was needed, and apologized that he didn't know he needed to. After the complaint notification he sent me an email stating he concluded my case as he "completed the contract", even though upon further review by myself and the Firm Operations Director for Price Benowitz, the contract states his services are until the completion of this first filing.

Do Not Recommend My experience with Mr. Woolley was horrible. I hired him in December 2020 to represent me in a petition for license restoration. Mr. Woolley seemed to not know the process for the petition as he alleged there was a way to go around having an ASAP evaluation. This is not the case and his attempt to circumvent the process resulted in two wasted months. During which time I had to continuously stay on top of him to identify where we were at in the process, what the next steps were, and a timeline for all of the above. Throughout the process I responded to every inquiry in a timely manner, within hours. This includes completing any necessary tasks, such as completing the ASAP evaluation. Mr. Woolley on the other hand continued to delay, while knowing that delays resulting in additional stress to my wife, our newborn, and contributed to lost wages, given I work on DC, but reside in Warrenton and therefore need to drive for work. When my petition was in front of the court Mr. Woolley made repeated false representations and failed to provide documentation to the court. This resulted in my hearing being continued, which during the pandemic required that I reschedule my DMV appointments. Note: DMV appointments are made 90-days out due to the pandemic. Prior to the initial hearing my appointments for the knowledge and driving test were scheduled for the following week. Due to the continuance, the next available appointments were 2 months out. At the next hearing, Mr. Woolley again made misrepresentations to the court and was unable to answer basic questions. His court demeanor was combative with the judge and his lack of basic knowledge of the facts of my petition resulted in my petition being denied. Further, his confrontational approach led to the court refusing to hear my follow on petition for a restricted license. When I expressed my concerns about the end outcome, Mr. Woolley became confrontational with me. I hung up. And ultimately contacted the managing partner of his firm, Price Benowitz. Ultimately, Mr. Woolley has now tainted the process and courts potential opinion, as I have been told by several attorneys following my firing Mr. Woolley. I am now experiencing difficulties in getting Mr. Woolley to provide the petition he filed, for which he is required to provide to me, so that I can re-petition the court. It is important to note, when I hired Mr. Woolley, I went off the reviews which where overwhelmingly favorable. At first glance. A little digging and you realize the Managing Partner of Price Benowitz also runs a social media consulting business. Basically, this is a company that seeks to elevate the profile of its clients. One way to do this is through favorable reviews. Put two and two together and it is clear the positive reviews are more a reflection of the managing partner's social media successful business than Mr. Woolley's court expertise. I would not recommend Mr. Woolley for any legal service nor would I recommend Price Benowitz. The outcome, a denial, was discussed prior to hiring Mr. Woolley. The issue is his lying in court, lack of knowledge of the facts of my case (I have a letter from the ASAP Commission stating they made a mistake which resulted in my license being revoked), and poor courtroom demeanor.
