About Joan M. Bundy

Joan Bundy PLC is a law firm based in Casa Grande, Arizona, serving the Phoenix-Tucson corridor. The firm's principal, Joan Bundy, is a licensed attorney in the state of Arizona and a 2005 graduate of the University of Arizona's James E. Rogers College of Law.

Joan has extensive experience in criminal law, including both prosecution and defense work. Her practice emphasizes criminal law, family law, divorce, child custody and support, Native American law, elder law, probate, and estates and trusts.

Joan entered the legal field to further her lifelong interest in serving vulnerable and marginalized populations, including low-income people, Native Americans, children, older adults, and companion animals. She has worked for four Native American tribes: the Gila River Indian Community, the Tohono O'odham Nation, and Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Arizona; and the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate in South Dakota. She currently serves on the Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona's Animal Law Section.

During law school, Joan was the University of Arizona's winner in the Arizona State Bar Indian Law Section Writing Competition. She also received the Arizona State Bar Public Lawyers Section Scholarship and competed at Harvard Law School as a member of a moot court team.

Born in Colorado, Joan was raised in a small town in western Iowa and has lived in Arizona since 2000. Before entering the legal field, she spent a decade in journalism and public relations.
