Katherine “Katie” Laney joined Elk & Elk as a law clerk in 2017. After two years as a law clerk she assumed the role of an attorney. Before joining Elk & Elk, she served as a judicial extern to Judge Christopher A. Boyko at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She also interned in the Juvenile Division of the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s Office.

Cyndi graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1992, where she was an editor of the Kentucky Law Journal. I was born and raised in Nashville, TN, which is somewhat of a rarity these days! I attended Harpeth Hall, an all-girls school for 8 years and graduated in 2016. I followed in my sister’s footsteps for college and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
