Willamette University College of Law was founded in 1883, and it was the first law school in the Pacific Northwest. The school has recently seen an upward trend in the U.S. News & World Report Best Law School rankings. The school's motto is "Not unto ourselves alone are we born - non nobis solum nati sumus."
