About this Organization:
Client Assistance Progran (CAP) is a national program mandated by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to protect the rights of applicants, clients, and former clients of the Department of Rehabilitation (DR) and other programs/agencies supported by Rehabilitation Act funds. CAP Advocates throughout California to provide the following services at no cost: information regarding rights and benefits available from DR, and rights under Title I of the ADA; investigation of clients' complaints and problems, assistance to clients in negotiating resolutions to complaints and problems, and referrals for legal asistance.
