American Indian Law Alliance

About American Indian Law Alliance

Since our founding in 1989, the American Indian Law Alliance has impacted indigenous peoples, and communities through our dedication to our mandate to protect human rights, social and economic development, culture, environment, health, women and children, education and urban issues.

We work with Native American communities, leaders, elders and youth to exchange values and ideas in advocating in international forums. We assist Native American communities, leaders, elders and youth in communicating their perspectives and issues in international forums. We honor our heritage and worldview by providing support to our leadership and supporting community-organizing efforts. Respecting that our work is for generations yet to come, we place particular emphasis on supporting the organizing efforts of Indigenous youth and women. In all that we do, we remember the leaders that have gone before us and seek justice, peace and equality by humbly carrying their words and wisdom forward in all our strategies for the benefit of Indigenous peoples.
