In Memoriam (1946-2021)
Recognized as one of Kentucky's top trial lawyers for decades, Bill left a legacy second to none. Bill was a renowned plaintiffs' lawyer representing clients in medical malpractice, products liability, aviation, railroad, and other types of claims. Over the course of his career, he was president of the Kentucky Bar Association and Kentucky Justice Association, chairperson of the Council of State Presidents of the American Justice Association, and inducted into the Hall of Fame at the University of Kentucky David J. Rosenberg College of Law. Bill was named KJA's Peter Perlman Trial Lawyer of the Year and was once Recognized by Super Lawyers as the No. 1 Super Lawyer in Kentucky. Many of his groundbreaking cases still remain the law in Kentucky.
Today the firm Bill started, Garmer & Prather, PLLC, continues his legacy by representing clients with personal injury, wrongful death, and wage and hour claims in state and federal courts throughout Kentucky.
