When I think of Attorney Tomlin and her superlative staff (especially Samantha), the words from Rockstar Tina Turner’s hit song come to mind. The long & short of it is – Val is THE BEST ATTORNEY IN MD! I’ve referred numerous cases (divorce, custody,

I’m a single father of teenage autistic son, that I’ve had custody of since he was 3. I have experienced two divorces in my life, in different counties and each was a very troubling time for me for different reasons; the former absconded out of state with my son and the latter was mentally and emotionally abusive towards him. Furthermore, not only was my 2nd divorce long and in the words of the judge, “one of the most contentious I’ve seen in years,” but I was falsely accused of felony assault by a lying vindictive ex-girlfriend who became a witness for my ex a month before the divorce trial.

However, beyond being a highly skilled attorney, Val exhibits rare attorney vesting in her clients that put you at ease regarding the difficulties of your case and/or situation. More importantly, there are no empty promises made just to keep a client happy or on the hook. This go-around, however, I was a crappy client but she was able to help me through it. She and her staff are detail-oriented while also seeing the big picture. Plus, she has an unbelievable courtroom presence; the judges, bailiffs, DA, etc. love her, opposing council not so much.
Divorce and TPOs are emotionally charged issues that are never easy; especially when you’re charged with assaulting someone who lives 4 states away. Even with my many shortcomings (late doc submittals, missed emails, etc.), Attorney Tomlin handled both cases from beginning to end with what can only be considered legally eviscerated perfection. Despite the lies that facilitated the TPO and the dirty tricks my ex’s attorney attempted, my faith in the legal system was restored by Val’s incredible representation.
Her legal skills are great as she under promises and over delivers but just as important, she’s an attorney who cares.
