Tyler K Amick
Cleveland Personal Injury Lawyer
Tyler Amick joined Joseph Law Group as a law clerk in 2018 when he was in law school. Since that time he has gained valuable litigation experience, including handling discovery and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs to advocate for clients in court. Tyler’s knowledge of personal injury/negligence law in Ohio is evident through his ability to conduct legal research and apply it to specific, complex situations. When providing a consultation, Tyler draws upon this legal knowledge and provides compassionate, law-based reasoning regarding a potential claim’s merits.
As a law clerk, Tyler utilized his research and writing experience to draft a successful brief opposing summary judgment by a defendant in a complicated premises liability matter. Tyler’s brief allowed the case to proceed, which later settled for a confidential amount.
Tyler is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. He earned his Juris doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2020 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kent State University. Tyler received the CALI Excellence for the Future® award for Legal Profession and Appellate Practice Clinic. This distinction is given to the highest scoring student in each law school class at many schools. Also during law school, Tyler was an articles editor for Cleveland State Law Review, the flagship legal journal for Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Tyler also served as a research/writing assistant for Baldwin’s Ohio Practice: Tort Law 2d. Baldwin’s is the sole authoritative reference guide on tort law in the State of Ohio.
