He has an undergraduate degree in Business Management Economics from University of California, Santa Cruz where he graduate with honors in the major and overall within the college. While there he also earned perfect scores in his economics calculus classes. Mr. Stinson then worked in corporate finance with a national publicly held company before attending law school. While in law school Mr. Stinson clerked with the Honorable Judge Brian C. Walsh in the Family Division of Santa Clara County Court, interned in a corporate legal department, and interned with a general civil litigation firm. After passing the State Bar Mr. Stinson was mentored by top Family Law litigators before opening his own practice that provided him with experience in all facets of Family Law issues. Mr. Stinson's propensity for quantitative analysis benefits clients in complex property division and support issues in Family Law. His experience in corporate finance, and civil litigation give him the experience to obtain optimal outcomes for clients in litigation matters. Often, matters can reach settlement through aggressive negotiation after discovery of all relevant facts, which Mr. Stinson believes can benefit clients to minimize the expense of litigation. However, where the other party is unreasonable in demands and expectations Mr. Stinson will advocate for clients through trial procedures when necessary.
