Susan James
Susan James concentrates her practice in the area of agency adoptions. She is a mobile attorney in the Central New York area and will travel to clients' homes for all their legal needs in a state agency adoption, at no extra charge. An attorney who makes house calls!
Susan was an Attorney for the Child in Seneca County for over ten years. She also spent many years teaching writing to university students at Syracuse University and San Diego State University and was a legal writing professor at Syracuse University College of Law. She was also a fiction editor at a publishing company for adults with literacy challenges. After cutting her teeth on law firm life in Syracuse, NY, Susan formed Benjamin & James, PLLC with her partner in all things in 2005.
Susan is a cum laude graduate of Syracuse University College of Law where she served on Law Review and as the Pre-Law Advisor to undergraduates in the College of Arts and Letters. In addition to her J.D., Susan earned her master’s degree in American Literature and a Women’s Studies Certificate from Syracuse University and her Bachelor’s degree in English from San Diego State University.
