Shahab Eddin Fotouhi
For the past twenty eight years, Shahab Fotouhi's practice has emphasized real estate, insurance litigation, construction defect, construction injury, and complex commercial litigation. Shahab is a veteran of numerous trials, arbitrations and appellate proceedings. He has handled cases in almost each county in the states of California, Oregon, Nevada and Washington.
Shahab's appellate practice has involved appearances before the highest Courts of the State. In April 2005, Shahab appeared before the Supreme Court, representing the interests of a business in a negligent security case. Delgado v. Trax Bar & Grill. The case is the key precedent in Negligent Security cases.
Shahab has authored a number of articles, including an article published by the San Francisco Barrister's Law Journal entitled "The Erosion of the Peculiar Risk Doctrine"
Shahab is very active in local bar associations as well as his alma mater, USF Law School. He co-founded the Construction Law Section of the Barristers' Club of San Francisco and served as the Vice-Chair (1997-98) and the Chair (1998-99) of the Section. Shahab served on the Board of Governors of the University of San Francisco School of Law, before serving as the President of the Board for the 2007-2008 school year. As a result of his service to the Law School, he was awarded the John Meehan Award from the Law School in 2005, acknowledging his service and devotion to the school.
Shahab's success as a lawyer is in great part based upon his focus on each client's particular circumstances, approaching each case with a strategic plan that aligns with the client's objectives. Client satisfaction is of utmost importance to him. Shahab's track record as litigator was acknowledged for the second time by being named as a 2008 'Super Lawyer' in Northern California ".
