Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Wornow served as Executive Vice President - Legal and Business Affairs for publicly-traded, interactive television company, OpenTV Corp., where he oversaw worldwide legal, commercial and licensing affairs, corporate development and the company’s global intellectual property portfolio. In that role, he helped to establish licensing programs, manage the company’s standards participation and set litigation strategies. Before that, Mr. Wornow served as General Counsel for wireless data provider, OmniSky Corp., leading the company through its venture capital stages and subsequent initial public offering. He was later appointed by the company’s Board of Directors as Chief Restructuring Officer, where he led the company’s sale and related corporate restructuring. Mr. Wornow was also previously a corporate partner in the New York office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky Walker LLP, where his practice involved corporate finance and securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions and the representation of emerging growth companies.
