Sarah and I have known each other in both a professional and personal context for many years. We have been involved in several professional organizations together and have consulted each other on cases and business matters over the years.

Q. In the cases you were involved in with this attorney, which of the following apply?

Sarah and I work in related areas of law and have consulted each other on numerous cases. The extent of work depends on the nature of the issue, as Sarah is always focused on what is best for the client. If one of my cases has a limited issue in Sarah's field of expertise, Sarah provides consultative advise. If one of my clients has a full case in Sarah's area of law, she will take on the case and we coordinate as necessary. The same is true when Sarah has a case involving my area of practice.

Q. When did you work with this lawyer?
Sarah and I work together in primarily two contexts. First, we consult and coordinate with each other on cases since we work in related areas of law. We have been consulting on cases for about a decade. Second, since at least 2018 through the present, we have worked together in a legal mastermind group. Sarah created this group to bring together a few solo practitioners to serve as consultants for each other in a more structured way.

Sarah is an effective counsellor and advocate because she takes a tailored and practical approach to addressing her clients' goals. Sarah's legal knowledge and skills are excellent, but what truly sets her apart is her relationship with clients. Estate planning is highly personal. Sarah listens to her clients and makes sure she understands what they want to achieve. She helps clients understand their options so they can make informed decisions.

Sarah has routinely demonstrated her comprehensive knowledge of the law whenever we work together on cases. She also works to stay up to date on changes in the law and help colleagues in her area of practice stay up to date as well.

Sarah considers the whole picture when giving legal advice. She asks thoughtful follow up questions to ensure she has all the relevant information to properly analyze the situation. Sarah provides clear options and recommendations on how to move forward.

Sarah is responsive, prompt, and clear in her communication. Whenever I ask Sarah a question, I know she will give a thoughtful response. Sarah breaks down complex legal concepts into plain English.
