Sara MacDuff
Protect Your Autonomy, Secure Your Legacy
Sara MacDuff is a Seattle native and attended her first year of law school in Washington DC but her true loves were waiting back home - husband Dave and the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Sara concluded law school clerking for the Honorable William L. Dwyer and graduated with honors from Seattle University School of Law. Sara recently completed an extensive law school curriculum with an LL.M in Elder Law.
As an Assistant Attorney General Sara handled bench and jury trials throughout western Washington. Her practice included disciplining health care practitioners as well as regulating timeshare operators, collection agencies, and other consumer related fields. She advised the State Human Rights Commission, the Employment Security Board and the Department of Licensing. She was a member of the U.S. Attorneys Office Medicaid Fraud Task Force. Sara was the Chair of the Washington State Bar Association Pro Bono and Public Service Committee.
Making the transition to Elder Law as a private practice attorney was a natural choice that combined Sara’s work history, in health care and consumer protection, with her natural tendency to serve others. Sara is a fervent believer in the wholistic approach to aging that is the foundation of her legal practice. Sara aims to help everyone – whether the older person, or their loved ones ease the transition into accepting support from professionals and other caring people.
