Activities: Mr. Meyer is a member of the American Bar Association, Litigation Section; the State Bar of Texas, Court Rules Committee, 2003-present (appointed by the President-Elect of the State Bar); the District of Columbia Bar Association; and the Dallas Bar Association, Business Litigation Section. He is also a Life Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation.

Activities: Mr. Meyer is a member of the Saint Rita Catholic Church and serves as a Eucharistic Minister. He also served as an assistant football coach at Saint Rita for some 10 years. Mr. Meyer is active in the Boy Scouts of America. He served as a member of the Circle Ten Council's Sporting Clays Shoot Committee. He was an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 838 (Saint Rita Catholic Church), and helped form Cub Scout Pack 791 at J. D. Saldivar Elementary School. He is a member of the Dallas Diocese's Catholic Committee on Scouting and serves as a counselor for its Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII programs. He is a BSA and NRA certified shooting instructor, and has served as both a Philmont and Northern Tier Trek Advisor, where he guided Scouts on hiking trips in New Mexico, canoeing trips in Canada, and dog-sledding trips in Northern Minnesota. Mr. Meyer actively participates in the shooting sports. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Gun Club (1992-2001); as its President (1998-1999); its Vice-President (1994-1995); and its Secretary (1997-1998). He is also a Ducks Unlimited, Inc. Trustee Emeritus (elected 1993) and a Life Sponsor. Mr. Meyer served as a member of DU's National Development Committee and as its Texas Major Donor Campaign Chairman (2006-2007); the Texas State Chairman (1989-1992); a National Trustee (1988-1992); a member of Texas State Council (1987-Present); and both a Dallas Area Chairman and Dinner Chairman (1985).
