Priya Prakash Royal

Priya Prakash Royal, Esq., LL.M., MBA, AEP, TEP, is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Royal Law Firm PLLC, focusing on international private client tax advisory and planning. She also provides expert witness testimony and tax consulting services. In 2024, she expanded her practice by becoming Of Counsel to a prominent New York law firm, where she serves as cross-border tax counsel.

A former IRS Estate Tax Attorney, Priya is admitted to practice in DC, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. She co-founded Klexa Consulting Group, which focuses on inception, transition, and succession solutions for small businesses and family offices. With a journalism background, she also manages Klexa Publishing, which educates in law, technology, and management.

Priya's multinational family collaboration between India and the US in law and accounting supports professionals, particularly women, in wealth preservation and business growth. She serves on the STEP Mid-Atlantic Board and DC Bar’s Tax Steering Committee, and was Vice-Chair of the DC Bar Estates, Trusts, and Probate Law Section. Named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2021, she frequently speaks and publishes on tax and estate planning, with works featured in the ABA, Bloomberg Tax, Wealth Management, and more.
