Very knowledgable and a pleasure to work with Peter is simply an excellent immigration attorney who will guide you through every step of the way and will tell you exactly what needs to be done to be successful with your case. I hired Peter for two cases, my mother's naturalization (N400) and to obtain my certificate of citizenship through my U.S citizen father (N600). Peter prepared the paperwork I needed to apply for a passport which I now hold in my hand. I remember emailing Peter to "complain" that the two post office locations I visited told me I could not apply for a passport without the certificate, Peter then called me (in less than an hour of receiving my e-mail!) to reassure me that I could indeed apply and to basically just trust him. I don't know many attorneys who will take the time to call a client outside of business hours as soon as they receive an email to reassure them there is no issue, but Peter certainly did. Sure enough, the third post office location I visited not only accepted my application but the clerk was impressed with how well prepared I was to prove my citizenship and eligibility for a passport. My mother successfully completed her interview (thanks to Peter's guidance) and is now scheduled for her oath, while I have my passport , received my certificate ahead of schedule and I'm ready for my trip! We recieved our Green card in record time When my wife and I moved back to the US in the summer of 2022 we were quite concerned with how we were going to navigate the immigration and change of status issue that we were facing. Simply, THE BEST immigration attorney out there. This may be a lengthy review - I couldn't find a shorter way to describe my case. It's worth knowing that when things seem to get "complicated" in some legal immigration cases, you have the support of an AMAZING attorney, such as Peter, makes everything go smoothly and increases the chance of success. Peter and I go way back! I first hired him in 2013 to apply for a Green Card - being an immigrant in a new country you definitely want to have the best representation, and the best backup team. We all know how challenging it can be to get permanent status in the US, and all of the insecurities that come along with that. Since my first phone call with Peter, I knew that he was going to have my back and be there for me, fighting for my case. He was a solid choice. After a very pleasant and successful meeting with him we decided to file all of my paperwork. I got my work permit within weeks from filing and later on, about 3 months, I got my Green Card - the usual wait time back then was from 6mo. to a year! I got mine way faster than if I had done it on my own. Unfortunately, my case would take an unexpected turn - I would be filing for divorce within the 2 year grace period before being able to get the 10 year Green Card. I honestly thought I was going to be denied or even deported. Long story short, Peter came through once again! We filed for a petition to still consider my case to be in good faith so that I could obtain my 10-year Green Card. After a bit of wait, I finally GOT IT! It was unbelievable. Years would pass. Peter kept checking in and reminding me that I was eligible to apply for citizenship. I honestly thought I would stay as a Permanent Resident for the rest of my life, but after considering all the options and seeing the positives of becoming a citizen, we decided to file for my naturalization in November of 2021. After a short wait, I got my interview date. If I ever had a question, doubt or I was nervous about my soon-to-come interview, Peter was there for me. He responded to all of my phone calls and all of my sometimes anxious emails. He always reassured me that there was nothing to worry about, and that I had a solid case despite what I thought. He definitely gave me the confidence I needed. On the day of my interview he came all the way to San Francisco to be with me throughout the whole process! It definitely made a huge difference to have his support and encouragement in the waiting room, as well as DURING the interview. Everything worked out in the end. Now the long version I heard of Peter through a friend, and I am so incredibly thankful to my friend for pointing me in Peter’s direction. Words can’t show how thankful I am that we had the pleasure and privilege of working with Peter through our green card application. Peter made the process incredibly seamless, keeping us informed of where we were in the process, any delays, any additional documents we needed to gather. Whenever we had any questions, Peter himself was there to answer them promptly. We initially started working with Peter while he was a part of Carson & Kyung, A Law Corporation. Along the way he left that firm and started his own. Not one to leave things unresolved, Peter reassured us that he would see our case all the way through because of the commitment he’d made. Covid made our case far more complicated than it should have been, and through it all we saw how incredible Peter is and how much he cares about his clients. During the application process we moved away from the Sacramento area, putting us in a different jurisdiction. Unfortunately our interviews were repeatedly rescheduled in Sacramento. Each time this happened Peter took action immediately and kept record of every call he made and letter he sent. Unfortunately USCIS made an administrative error that resulted in an initial denial for our case. Some lawyers would look at this situation and think “great, now I can make double the money from the same client” but not Peter. Peter went back and memorized the entire timeline of our case: every interview notice, every file submitted, dates of when he sent the request for the interview to be moved to the appropriate office, EVERYTHING. Then Peter went in person to talk with field agents at the Sacramento field office and didn’t leave until they acknowledged that they had made an error. I was completely blown away by his character, and when I thanked Peter for going above and beyond, he said “I do this because you guys are my clients and entrusted me with your case. This isn’t right”. We would like to start out by saying that this is not only the most positive experience we have had with any immigration attorney (or other attorney for that matter), it is undoubtedly the most positive experience we have with ANY professional. Peter excelled on absolutely every front imaginable. Specifically we would like to point to these aspects of our interaction and his strengths as an attorney: 1. Being exceptionally detail oriented, leaving nothing to chance in terms of documents, filling out of applications, and organization of the material in a manner that was the most effective for review by USCIS. 2.
