Since 2002, I have taught an individual, intensive, bar review course for the bar exams of California, Georgia , Maryland, the Maryland Attorney's Exam, and Uniform Bar Examination offered by states such as Arizona, Colorado, District of Columbia, Idaho, Missouri, New York, New Jersey, Washington State and others. The course focuses upon the written section/essays/MPT/PT, although I cover all subjected tested on the bar exam on the MBE.

The course starts in November/December for the February bar and in May/June for the July Bar and concludes about a week before the exam. Unlike other courses, this term enables a through review of all bar exam subjects, particularly for a working professional.

Each week I email a state-specific outline for a subject and former exam questions on that subject. The outlines specify subject topics actually tested on the bar and the frequency with which they are tested. With this focused approach, a student learns law actually tested on the bar to pass, rather than learning all law.

The student reviews the materials, does the questions and returns the answers by email, for which I provide detailed diagnostic feedback by email and additional questions as needed, to maximize exam performance. The online format eliminates travel time and allows the student to work at the time and place best suited for them, even with a busy work schedule, which worked for the many attorneys and professionals who took and passed the bar with me.

Rather than just memorizing materials, this active learning approach ensures all bar material is learned through actual practice. By the end of the class, a student will have done 40-50 or more practice questions.
