- Mr. Galvaniis an experienced trial lawyer who has served as defense counsel in complex commercial and white collar litigation, including in securities, patent, and natural resource damage cases. He has represented potentially responsible parties in numerous CERCLA matters. Mr. Galvani has litigated countless environmental matters, including allocation issues. Among the more notable cases he has handled are the New Bedford Harbor PCB case in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the Charles George Landfill case (which included allocation proceedings among dozens of defendants) in the same court, the Los Angeles DDT natural damage and cleanup case in the Central District of CA, and the Iron Mountain Mine litigation in the Eastern District of CA. Prior to joining Ropes Gray, Mr. Galvani was an assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
