Retainer Fee Gone and so is the Attorney Paid a Retainer fee and she represented me for a very short period of time until there was an emergency petition. On 4:45 PM Friday evening she emailed me that she was withdrawing from my case. No decency to even make a phone call. I had to scramble to find another attorney to take the case in a very short period of time, which I’m sure added to my heart attack. Apparently she was afraid to argue in front of a “particular” judge and that is why she withdrew. What a disgrace to put a parent through that who is relying on an attorney to be there for them during such a stressful time. The next attorney that I hired told me that she is afraid to argue in front of that judge and that is why she withdrew. He also told me he goes around cleaning up all her messes. I don’t doubt it. I don’t know how many parents she has done this to, but I certainly didn’t need the stress.
