Mira advises a diverse set of health care industry stakeholders, including providers (hospitals, clinics, physician groups, pharmacies and other healthcare providers), health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, disease management companies and others on Medicare and Medicaid regulatory and compliance issues, healthcare transactional matters, and HIPAA and state privacy laws. She has extensive experience helping clients to navigate the ever-evolving fraud and abuse laws, including the federal Stark and Anti-Kickback laws. She has assisted in the development of compliance plans and policies for health plans (including Medicare Advantage plans), Prescription Drug Plans and healthcare providers. In addition to compliance and regulatory assistance, Mira has significant experience representing clients in a variety of leasing, service and management contractual arrangements. She also regularly counsels health providers and health plans on state licensing, certificate of need and operational requirements. Mira additionally has experience in bankruptcy matters and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance and litigation.
