- Activities: Prior to his career in law, Mr. Semes was a professional musician, playing bass with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Ballet and Opera Orchestra, and the Canton Philharmonic Orchestra in Ohio. Mr. Semes is a member of the Tax Executive Institute and currently serves as chair of the State and Local Tax Subcommittee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, previously serving as secretary. He is also a board member of the Independent State and Local Tax Alliance.
