Mfon McCarthy Udoetuk
McCarthy (born 2nd August 1988) is a Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist. He obtained a bachelor's degree in law from Rivers State University of Rivers State in 2018 and was called to the bar in 2020. He was granted an exemption in service of the National Youth Service Corps.
McCarthy began his legal practice in FCT, Abuja under the tutelage of Chief Charles Uwensuyi Edosomwan, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, OFR, who was and still is one of the most seasoned litigators of his time
In 2023, McCarthy teamed up with his cousin, to set up the law firm Kings Landing Law Firm LLP. McCarthy made the law firm grow into what it is today, as one of the renowned law firms in Nigeria with a brilliant workforce of few lawyers who practice proficiently in diverse areas of Nigerian law.
McCarthy is currently Principal partner of KLLF-LLP and Head of the Corporate & Commercial Practice Group of KLLF-LLP. He has participated in some of the major groundbreaking transactions that have shaped commercial law practice in Nigeria and indeed the Nigerian economy.
It is important to note that in all the offices he held, McCarthy(as he is popularly known) was a force to beckon with and his leadership skills were worthy of emulation.
He has appeared in most courts of record in Nigeria with the exception of the Supreme Court of Nigeria
