When I was an assistant prosecuting attorney he was the opposing defense counsel in a homicide trial.

In the first instance, I was assistant prosecuting attorney and Martin was defense attorney/subsequently we represented the same client in a criminal appeal.

First occasion was in 1994. The second occasion was 2020 through 2021.

Yes

The result of the criminal trial was a manslaughter jury verdict in a case where the original charge was 2nd degree murder. In the appeal the guilty verdict was reversed and the defendant was granted a new trial. Martin’s legal work was exceptional in both instances.
