Mark Cuker
I represent victims of toxic chemical pollution
I am Mark R. Cuker, the sole member of Cuker Law Firm LLC. Previously, at Williams Cuker Berezofsky, LLC, was a partner from 1985 to 2017. During my time there, I primarily focused on complex plaintiff’s litigation.
I graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 1975, where I served as an editor of the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. I have been admitted to practice in Pennsylvania since 1975, New Jersey since 1987, and New York since 2019. Additionally, I am admitted to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of the United States, and the United States Court of Federal Claims. I have been rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbell, indicating the highest level of professional excellence.
I have been recognized as a Pennsylvania SuperLawyer for class action/mass torts from 2006-2010 and again from 2013-2024.
In my environmental litigation practice, I served as lead counsel for the claimants in the Toms River Childhood Cancer Cluster case, which inspired the Pulitzer Prize-winning book "Toms River: A Story of Science and Salvation" by Dan Fagin. I also represented homeowners in a landmark case before the New Jersey Supreme Court, which established that real estate developers must disclose nearby toxic waste dumps to prospective purchasers, as seen in Strawn v. Canuso.
Other notable cases include representing over 2,000 residents of Paulsboro, New Jersey, in claims related to toxic vinyl chloride exposure from a train derailment, and advocating for over 1,000 Flint, Michigan residents in the Flint Water Crisis Litigation concerning lead contamination of drinking water. Additionally, I was co-lead counsel in a medical monitoring class action arising from PFAS contamination of the municipal water supply in Paulsboro. In Giovanni v. United States Dept. of the Navy, I helped establish important precedents regarding environmental accountability.
