Lin Morrisett is a former military brat who has lived in over 30 cities in 7 different states. He has lived in the DFW metroplex since sixth grade, however, and after over 40 years in the state, thinks he has probably earned the title of Texan. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985, and worked for 8 years as a Systems Engineer, and Systems Analyst, before graduating from Texas Wesleyan’s night Law School program.
In his legal career, he was a briefing attorney for two Justices at the Second Court of Appeals, entered private practice, worked as legal counsel for a local real estate management consortium, and then served as the Associate Judge of Tarrant County Probate Court #2. After this combined 20 plus years of legal work, Mr. Morrisett joined the firm of Bailey & Galyen in 2017 as of counsel.
His practice is mainly centered in Probate, Guardianship, and Estate planning. He has trained extensively as a mediator, and has settled more than 93% of the cases which he has acted as Mediator.
Mr. Morrisett is committed to a quick and efficient disposition of uncontested matters, and equitable solutions which strive to preserve as much family unity as possible in contested cases.
He has spoken on probate issue on several occasions, and taught Appellate Brief Writing as an Adjunct Professor at Texas Wesleyan School of Law.
