Lauren Mack
Lauren Mack is a partner in the firm's White Collar Criminal Defense and Government Investigations and Healthcare Litigation practice groups. She has a broad range of experience in criminal investigations, litigation and healthcare fraud and abuse. Lauren brings a unique set of skills to her clients. For healthcare organizations that require proactive guidance in establishing and maintaining adequate compliance programs, she is able to provide a realistic analysis of the issues at hand as well as guidance to help organizations create a compliant environment and thereby prevent consuming investigations by government oversight agencies. Lauren methodically guides responses to government subpoenas, ensures immediate and precise compliance, and appears on site as necessary during search warrant activity. Her valuable knowledge of local and federal agencies aids in the swift resolution of criminal and civil matters. Prior to her joining Moses & Singer, Lauren was an Executive District Attorney and served as Chief of the Healthcare Fraud Unit, Chief of Investigations, Chief of Public Assistance Crimes Unit, and Chief of Crimes Against Children Unit in the Kings County District Attorney's Office. During her twenty-five year tenure in that Office, Lauren was responsible for recovering over $10 million on fraudulent claims and assessing over 2000 allegations of fraud totaling over $18 million in alleged fraudulent claims. During Lauren’s distinguished tenure in public service she managed and led complex investigations and prosecutions. She founded and directed a Healthcare Fraud Division where, as Chief of the Division, she led a team of investigators, prosecutors, and forensic accountants in the investigations and prosecutions of medical providers for Medicaid and Medicare fraud. Lauren was also head of the Public Assistance Crimes Unit, prosecuting perpetrators of all types of government fraud. Lauren's unit was known for pursuit of "Millionaires on Medicaid."
