Activities: Mr. Volmert has been selected by his peers as a Colorado Superlawyer in the Environmental Law speciality. He is active with the Air Quality Committee of the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry, the Colorado Petroleum Association, and the Colorado Oil and Gas Association, assisting these industry groups concerning developing issues. He is a member of the Environmental Section of the Colorado Bar Association and serves on the Denver Bar Association Fee Arbitration Committee.

Activities: He co-authored the Air Quality and Water Quality Chapters of "Environmental Regulation," excerpted from the "Second Edition of the American Law of Mining," Matthew Bender & Company, Inc. (2003), and has spoken on air, water, energy, waste, climate change and enforcement issues before client, industry and professional audiences.

Activities: Mr. Volmert co-chairs the Disability Task Force of the Colorado Lawyers Committee, advocating to preserve legal rights and benefits for disabled persons. He also has worked on foster care issues for the Lawyers Committee, and served on the Colorado Bar Association Committee on the Availability of Legal Services. From 1996 to 2005, he served on the Board of Platte River Industries, a non-profit organization that assists disabled persons, as well as providing pro bono legal services for the organization. From 1994-95 he chaired the Manual High School Collaborative Decision Making Committee. Currently, he chairs a committee charged with renovating St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
