3 Questions Answered
Q. My son and his girlfriend want to give me full custody of my grandson.Do I need a lawyer?
A: In this situation, I would certainly recommend retaining an attorney who can formalize this agreement and take care of all legal aspects. Without doing so, it is possible you could run into some major issues in the future, especially if the parents change their mind about the custody arrangement.
Q. My husband filed for divorce in 2009. I never signed. We got back together 2010. Are those papers still valid?
A: It depends. Many Courts will dismiss or make an action inactive after a certain period of time passes without any type of activity. It is certainly possible that the divorce action is still active.
Q. I just found out my divorce was stricken/rescinded. No one ever informed me about this it's been a year.is this possiabl
A: More information is needed to have an accurate response. It is certainly possible that a divorce agreement was stricken, however it is unlikely that it would have occurred without some correspondence or notification being provided to you. I suggest getting legal help to assist with this matter.
