An attorney who listens and cares After being charged with a misdemeanor charge of Harrassment via Communications I hired attorney Joe Kunkel of the Luftman Law Group in Columbus Ohio. Being from out of state my initial communication with Mr. Kunkel were via cell phone. Even over the phone I had the impression that he was truly listening to me and was going to do the best he could to help me. He appeared to have good communication with the prosecutor and both agreed to postpone the case in order to have a “cooling “ off period. When it came time for the court appearance I met Mr. Kunkel for the very first time. He informed me that I was going to be given a fine and probation. I explained to him the hardship that would create for me as well as how unfair that sentence would be. He listened to me and agreed. He immediately went to the prosecutor and explained the situation in detail. The end result was NO probation and a fine that was less than if I had been given a less than 15 mph speeding ticket! It was obvious that both the prosecutor as well as the magistrate had a great deal of respect for Mr. Kunkel. When he spoke, they listened.
