: Current; Hoots Hoots v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Pro Bono success where, working alongside the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law, Weil Gotshal lawyers from NY and DC obtained an order requiring the State of Pennsylvania and the Woodland Hills School District to equalize education oppportunities for minority students in their district. The Court's historic order recognized that school districts must continue to enforce court-ordered remedies designed to provide equal educational opportunities for all students in their district until the completion of the desegregation process. more

: Current; General Motors Acceptance Corporation Coleman v. General Motors Acceptance Corporation Successfully defended GMAC against a class action claim that GMAC violated the Equal Credit Opportunity Act in connection with its purchase of automobile retail installment sales contracts from car dealers. more

: Current; General Motors Acceptance Corporation Ford v. General Motors Acceptance Corp. Successfully represented General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) in a class action alleging violations of RICO, the Sherman Act, state and federal credit repair organization statutes, and state unfair and deceptive trade practice statutes. We won a motion to dismiss the federal claim and convinced the court to refuse to exercise jurisdiction over the state law claims. more
