Five Cincinnati Office Locations Handling DUI Defense
There are over 1 million laws in the United States. My entire legal practice is devoted to just one--the Ohio law that prohibits drinking and driving. Because of my concentrated focus on DUI defense, I know the DUI laws better than most lawyers in the state. I am a passionate DUI defense lawyer and I get results.
Traditionally, lawyers have had multiple practice areas such as criminal defense, personal injury, probate, divorce, and child custody. They may have handled a few DUI cases each year. However, today, more and more lawyers are choosing to limit their work to one specific area because it makes them more educated and efficient at what they do. Using that concept as a fundamental principle, I structure my practice using a very simple formula: a concentrated focus and dedication to DUI defense to the exclusion of other practice areas. In addition, I limited my number of clients. That gives me more time and attention to devote to each client and their case. Again, it's a simple formula but it gets results.

- Q. can you get a second continuation without a lawyer?
- A: It really depends on the situation. If you would like to share some more details about your case, I can likely give you a more definitive answer. In fact, if you have ANY question about your case, feel free to submit them to me through my website at https://ohioduidude.com/. If you scroll to the bottom of the home page, you'll see an area where you can submit questions.
Thanks.
- Q. I was arrested for DUI in Ohio 28-29 years ago. I failed to appear. Is there a statue of limitations
- A: Wow, what a nightmare. I'm a bit surprised it's just now surfacing. To answer your question, the statute of limitations for most misdemeanors in Ohio, including DUI, is two years (http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2901.13). That being said, I'm not sure that the statute of limitations would apply in this case if you were charged, served with the citation and THEN failed to appear.
Fortunately, there are MANY other defenses in an Ohio DUI case, particularly one as old as yours.
Call me if you'd like to discuss.
Thanks.

- Q. What's the most successful DUI defense? My son needs an attorney.
- A: I agree with Mr. Williams. There are many defenses to an OVI charge. However, it all depends on the facts and circumstances of a given case.
