Jason’s graduate work focused on the microbial pathogenesis of a Select Agent, including host-pathogen interactions and molecular mechanism of disease. Under the guidance of Dr. Virginia L. Miller, he identified novel virulence factors in Yersinia pestis, the causative agent of bubonic and pneumonic plague.
