- Jane's recent representations as lead counsel include: Lead trial counsel in a successful trial in Massachusetts on behalf of a publicly traded real estate investment trust against HealthSouth involving the ownership of certain rehabilitation hospitals. Lead counsel for the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club in connection with Senator Mitchell's investigation of the use of performance-enhancing substances in baseball. Lead trial counsel in a successful trial in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on behalf of the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club. Lead counsel in successful motion practice in both federal and state courts for a closed-end fund against Bulldog Investors. Lead lawyer for a transportation company in an action in federal court alleging violations of the antitrust laws. Lead arbitration counsel for publicly traded company in AAA arbitration under complex case procedures with three arbitrators in a matter involving a material supply contract. Lead counsel in the defense on behalf of the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club of a preliminary injunction proceeding in Massachusetts federal court which would have prevented the establishment of an entertainment concourse on game days on Yawkey Way near Fenway Park. Lead counsel for private equity firm in representations and warranties litigation in New York State Court. As a part of her antitrust practice, Jane has represented many of the firm's public company clients and private equity clients and their portfolio companies in mergers and acquisitions subject to antitrust merger review and investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission. Jane also provides counseling to many of the firm's public company and portfolio company clients on antitrust and competition matters.
