James is extremely thorough, passionate about his client's rights and the criminal defense system in general, and a remarkable advocate for his clients. As a former prosecutor, who has had many jury trials, he knows the system. He is ready for trial if that's what his clients need. But he also knows when to advise taking a deal, and how to get the best one. I can't say enough good things about his trial and advocacy skills. He is also extremely knowledgeable about the criminal defense laws.

James has many years of trial experience in the criminal justice system, so he has extensive knowledge from all of the cases he has handled. Additionally, he writes voluminously about many aspects of the Arizona criminal defense statutes and case law. Through both his experience, research, and writing, he has accumulated an incredible amount of practical and legal knowledge, which he uses very effectively to help his clients get the best outcome possible.
