Hon C R Inama
I recently retired after ten years as an U.S. Administrative Law Judge with the Social Security Administration. Before that, I spent five years as a state ALJ with the California Dept. of Insurance. Now, I am an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho College of Law (Boise site) and at Boise State University (Philosophy Dept.). I taught Economics and Business Law courses at Golden Gate University, San Francisco, from 1997 until I transferred to SSA's Boise Hearing Office in 2015. I practiced law in San Mateo County, CA, from 1977-2003, focusing mainly on appeals and extraordinary writs in civil and criminal cases, until my mobilization for active duty with the US Coast Guard Reserve in 2003-2004. Upon my return from Kuwait, I worked as a Research Attorney for the Superior Court (Civil), Santa Clara County, until my state ALJ appointment. I received a BA (political science) from UC Santa Barbara in 1974; a JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1977; an MA (Economics) from Calif. State Univ., Hayward in 1996; and an LL.M. (International Legal Studies) from GGU’s School of Law in 2005.
