Professional Experience

: Current; Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Beller served as senior legal advisor to Marsh McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC), where he was involved in matters across MMC’s businesses, including issues related to its investment management business and its insurance brokerage operations.Before that, Mr. Beller served as senior executive vice president and chief legal officer of MetLife, Inc. and the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, where he had responsibility for legal affairs which included the law department, government and industry relations, corporate secretary, including corporate governance matters, and MetLife’s privacy office. He also had responsibility for the company’s mergers and acquisitions department as well as its asset management businesses.Mr. Beller’s 10-year tenure at MetLife was preceded by a distinguished 26-year career at American Express Company, including 16 years as general counsel and 11 years as executive vice president.
