Trusting him was the biggest mistake I ever made. I paid him $1,000 for drafting an opposition and representing me in a 15-minute hearing. Instead of doing his job, he lied repeatedly, procrastinated until the last moment, and refused to put any effort into my case. He didn’t even read the defendant’s motion or prepare an adequate opposition. His so-called response was a sloppy, one-and-a-half-page document, filled with generic legal citations, prepared by his assistant. Even after I read the defendant’s paperwork myself and identified their arguments, he refused to make any changes or additions to strengthen my opposition. Ultimately, I had to draft my own opposition in just one hour to meet the deadline. He didn’t appear at my hearing, leaving me without any chance to argue my case, and I lost as a result. He did absolutely nothing for my case and refused to refund my money. I have a disability and no income—$1,000 was a significant amount for me. Hiring him cost me not only my money but also my case.
