- Dennis represents over 30 head coaches in basketball and football, including Al Skinner of Boston College, Lute Olson of the University of Arizona, Jamie Dixon of the University of Pittsburgh, Jeff Capel of the University of Oklahoma, Phil Martelli of St. Joseph's University, and Tony Dungy and Jim Caldwell of the Indianapolis Colts. The Sports Law Group represented Gillette in connection with the naming rights of Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, and Reebok in connection with sponsorship and licensing agreements with the National Football League and the National Basketball Association. Dennis recently negotiated one of the first ever “Succession Plan Contracts” in the NFL where he represented Jim Caldwell who will succeed Tony Dungy when Dungy steps down as Coach of the Colts. The Sports Law Group also represents Athletic Directors Terry Don Phillips of Clemson University and Daryl Gross of Syracuse University, among others. In addition, The Sports Law Group specializes in the representation of colleges and universities in connection with NCAA investigations and related matters. Dennis also serves as General Counsel to the National Association of Basketball Coaches. In his role as General Counsel, the firm provides a wide range of advice on issues such as licensing, sponsorships, patent, trademarks, real estate, and contract negotiations.
