David is an extremely gifted lawyer. He's very charismatic and verbally gifted. Everyone thinks that they need a fire and brimstone, scorched earth litigator, but what they don't realize is that they also need someone with a healthy does of empathy -- i.e., someone who can relate to the judge and jury. David is just that and is a balance of both qualities.
